About Us
TwonkyMedia was started by some super-smart engineers with lots of experience with the development of platforms for interactive multimedia applications in business and residential environments. TwonkyVision, the creator of TwonkyMedia, was acquired in 2006, by PacketVideo (PV), a multimedia software company specializing in software for mobile phones and the digital home. PV acquired TwonkyVision to bridge the media gap between mobile phones and the connected home.
PV is a member of the UPnP Forum and the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA). PV actively participates in both organizations, and we continually update TwonkyMedia products to reflect the latest standards and technology.
